A few tips on throwing a "Little Gentleman" bash on a limited budget.
I love to host a party, especially if there is a theme, and it had been a while since I had hosted one. My sister-in-law's pregnancy gave me the perfect reason! I threw around various shower ideas before deciding on A Little Gentleman theme. Pinterest is full of helpful tips and links to get you started.
I purchased white onesies in newborn, 3 month, 6 month, and 9 month sizes. I then found the yellow, orange, and blue bowties in the above picture at Target and attached them to the onesies with a safety pin. These onesies were part of my gift to her as well because I know that every mom can appreciate a bunch of plain onesies!
The two onesies in the middle with the black bowties are made by my friend Shannon. I LOVE the way they turned out! A little tuxedo bowtie and then the bowtie undone.
The balloons on top of the mantle I found on Etsy.
This is not the best picture to showcase these details, but I purchased moustaches from Hobby Lobby and attached to wooden skewers. Guests used them for photo ops. The green paper read "I moustache you for advice for the new mom-to-be". And of course a few pacifiers with felt moustaches glued on!
Here is the mom-to-be on the left with my sister. Don't they look cute with moustaches?! :)
I made the two diaper cakes using newborn and size 1 diapers. I used ribbon to tie in the colors of the party and then topped the cakes with cute tennis shoes and sandals. The cupcakes were made by a local baker and had either a sugar bowtie or a moustache atop. They were delicious. It always helps to know of a good local baker! She also made the cookies on the right side of the table. They were in the shape of a bowtie and wrapped in cellophane and these were the "take home gift".
This is a picture of the table before all of the food was out. I layered table cloths, keeping in line with the color theme. I spray painted sticks that I found out in my yard a fun light blue color and had those in vases for easy centerpieces and height. The cards that identified the various foods were complete with a moustache too!
Oh and of course Tessa was dressed in her Little Gentleman's finest as well!

And here is a picture of the man himself!! How cute does this "Little Gentleman" look?!
